What a journey we had this season. Hold my kicks fought long and hard to show their talents but in the end ranked second. This didn't set well with them and determination of the team only grew! They fought hard up the bracket all the way to the championship game, but a strange turn of events left them with mixed emotions.
The top seed Big Blue Thumbs were upset by Ball Related! The Kicks were hopefully to take on their foes but glad to be facing a lower seed. Then another turn shook the Kicks a bit. At the end of the second inning they were trailing! The game took twists and turns all over, changing the lead inning after inning until finally we were at the 6th inning.
Hold My Kicks was down 5 to 6 with only two at bats left. But from nowhere a lucky drop left one in scoring position sitting at second. One great bunt latter there was one out and the tying run at 3rd. An unlucky fly ball sent a deep empty feeling in the Kicks hearts now sitting at two outs. Then from nowhere a drive down third just in fair territory sent the tying run in. With momentum on their side they rallied to take the lead and keep it, making them our champs. Great job holding nothing back Hold my Kicks!
