Steve was a very friendly guy who came ready to play!! He always swung with full force and was excited to get any opportunity to help his team. He brought a speaker and a great playlist that kept his team pumped during the game. Steve was a great teammate and helped his fellow members stay positive during the games. Great job, Steve! :)
In today's game with the two teams That's What She Set and No Chill was a spectacle to watch. Every moment of this action packed game had me on the edge of my seat, and even had me standing in awe for the last set as well. This game having two sets going over the game limit of 25 was a very intensely fought battle between two equally matched teams, but in the end That's What She Set's overall skills and team chemistry gave them the W. Their sheer tenacity, strong heart and unwillingness to back down is what led to them beating a team who was always on their tails trying to come up on top.
Now the first set, That's What She Set, was a true nail bitter. Point for point each team played hard, sweat falling from their faces and the hot blood flowing in their veins it was truly epic. No Chill really made That's What She Set play and work for a victory, but just coming off a double header, No Chill had the slight advantage and took the set 27-25, 1-0. The second set was the opposite story, That's What She Set was now on the offensive and attacked brutally early on gaining a good lead, however No Chill is not a team to be messed with and then made a strong run getting point after point really making That's What She Set, work hard to keep their lead. In the end however No Chill's push was in vain and the games were now tied up 1-1.
Now there it was, the final set, both teams exhausted from the constant beatings they took from each other. Here is where our hero Wes Schell comes in. Now though his tremendous skill was obvious in the previous 2 sets, in this final set Wes stood out above his other teammates and really acted as a leader, leading and pushing his team to their limits, thus bringing home another W. Now not only did Wes show great leadership abilities, but he also played a key role in the offense, by
putting constant pressure on No Chill's defense with killer serves that in turn led to Aces and thus hard earned points. So congratulations to That's What She Set for such a hard fought victory and a nail bitting show. Good Luck on your next game not that you'll need it.
