Behind all game Indiana Jones was 2 outs from losing the finals, when a walk coupled with 2 infield hits loaded the bases. Down by 4 runs Rueben Foronda unloaded for a grand slam to tie it up. The Mo had shifted and by the time the dust settled Twin Diesel found themselves down by 3 runs.
Indiana Jones and company had plenty of help from Jason Moffatt on Sunday afternoon as he singlehandedly matched his opponents run total, 8, with his own RBI total. Jason was absolutely stellar at the plate all game, with three home runs, a triple and a single. But it wasn't just on offense that Jason excelled, he consistently made difficult catches look routine in the outfield and kept the opponents onslaught of fly balls at bay with his great defense. Congratulation Jason and good luck in the playoffs!
From Randy Johnson to Felix Hernandez, Seattle has a history of power pitchers that have left quite an impression. However Robert Kampsen fancies himself more in the mold of the Jamie Moyer/Greg Maddux/Mike Mussina/Tom Glavine types with his pinpoint control and command of his pitches. In 14 consecutive innings, Robert Kampsen had two complete games in two victories, complimented by a sparkling 1.50 ERA (two of the runs he gave up were unearned). Robert kept batters off balance all night by moving the ball all over the place, and continually testing each corner of the strike zone. He left many batters with confused looks with all of the movement on his pitches, rarely seen in slowpitch softball. Robert is an old school workhorse and Indiana Jones' ace in the hole, who always gives his defense a chance to carry the team to victory each week.
