Supercalifornia Pants

Matt had a great week and overcame some setbacks this week. During his first at bat, I did not notice his limp. Come to find out he had a bad leg. He still belted out some kicks going 3 for 4 and playing a mean first base. I suggested he kick left footed but he declined and still played through the pain and kicked the snot out of the ball! He is ultra competitive and I almost had to physically removed him from first because he needed a pinch runner (emphasis is mine: He was a perfect sport about me giving him a pinch runner)! Matt did a great job of stretching for the ball during close plays. Great effort my man!

There was a couple of honorable mentions... Andy Evans, who never receives player of the game from his teammates, had a nice big fly and started his game 2 for 2 with a homer and triple. Thought he was going to go for the cycle but he got a couple of bad breaks. Funk, also from Ben and Friends, played a mean third base tonight with a couple of great catches and a nice double play that saved a run! Jared Shields of Booze on First had a great game and some awesome moves on the field of play! Thanks you guys for giving me something to write about and keeping my job interesting!
