As the saying goes: "Sometimes you eat the bear, and sometimes the bear eats you." And sometimes you fall on your face at home plate. That was the story as Jenny Kincaid laid it all on the line, literally and figuratively, Tuesday night. Jenny was (perhaps ill advisedly) waived around from third to score on a double as the ball was relayed back in to the pitcher. He sized her up at about the halfway point, and let rip a perfect strike, nailing her right between the shins as she hustled her way home. As the ball tangled up in her feet, everything went slo-mo as Jenny executed what could only be called an "epic face plant" across home plate. Close, but no potato. Thankfully, she was alright, and she laughed as she got up. Her teammates cheered as they helped her up and wiped the gray dirt from her face. Hope you had a nice trip, Jenny. See ya next fall, hyuck!
These guys were a dynamic duo! Adam the first-baseman was always ready to make the CLOSE outs kick-passed to him by Blair the catcher. The accuracy and timing was amazing! Watch out for these guys, they'll catch even the fastest runners!
