The first test in playoffs began with Nickerson Street Saloon and The Dugouts squaring off with a battle of the offenses, with Nickerson outlasting the Dugouts 19-13. Ron Peterson proved to be the deciding factor in the game with his whopping six RBI's and hitting perfect for the semis at 5-5. Meanwhile, Purple Nurple and the Upper Deckers were duking it out next door, with Gina Wilson's stifling defense securing a win for them 11-9. That set the stage for The Upper Deckers and Nickerson Street Saloon to meet in the championship game. Nickerson appeared to be unbothered by the pressure of the championship game and quickly put runs on the board. The defense by Dina Campion as well as her offense (2-2, 2 RBI BB's) propelled Nickerson into the top spot in the end, with the title of Underdog Champions emblazoned on them as they walked off the field as the number one team.
