On a great night for the finals of DOTL, it was four solid teams going for gold, but only one team wins. "We Putt Out!" rocked the league by a a bit more then a stroke or two. Playing solid from week number one, they continued knocking down putts and walked away with the title. They had a great season, and hopefully will wear their new champ shirts with pride. Great season guys, and great putting.
We Putt Out! have been stalwart DOTL veterans, having played with us for several consecutive years. Sometimes, they've won championships, other times, they've come painfully short. But there has been one constant throughout the years-Erica Keith had never gotten a hole in one.
You might think, "how is this even possible"? I mean, even just screwing around, you can stumble into a hole in one on some of these holes. But her quest for victory soon became a self-fulfilling prophesy-no matter how hard she tried, no matter how agonizingly close she got, she couldn't close the deal.
On Wednesday, she closed the deal.
Sadly, I was not there to witness this historic event in person-which, given the near falls I've seen, kinda sucks-but I'm happy that I was at least able to be here for it, and celebrate in her victory with her.
