After playing Underdog flag football for a number of years, XFL broke through and won their first title, a 31-20 win over Wacky Waving Inftatable Flailing Arm Tube People. In a game that was close the first half, a long touchdown pass from Dimitri Mordekhov to Chris Johnson broke open the close game.
XFL started the scoring early in the 1st half when Dimitri hit Nick Sundaster with a short scoring pass. Wacky then responded with a touchdown pass from Trevor Nesbitt to Jeff Nix. Mordekhov then connected on long TD pass to put XFL ahead 12-7 at halftime. On the first possesion after the intermission, Dimitri hit CJ on a long pass down the right sideline to give XFL a 18-7 lead they never relinquished. Though Wacky tried to mount a comeback midway through the half, the constant pressure applied by Julia Scott, never let Wacky QB, Nesbitt get comfortable in the pocket. Congratulations to XFL on their first title.
This weeks player of the week goes to Julia Scott of "XFL". In a very tight game, Julia came up wit key receptions that moved the chains and helped XFL get into scoring position. With the 2 point victory, her 2 PAT's helped seal the deal for her team, and earn her player of the week! Great job Julia.
This weeks player of the week goes to CJ of "XFL". CJ started his day very early in the game with a Pick 6 to start his team off on top. The opponent did not go away and drove the ball well and scored a number of times. With "XFL" down late in the game under 2 minutes, CJ sealed the win for his team by ending the game like he started it a Pick 6 and the go ahead TD for his team. CJ had 3 TD's and earned this weeks honors as player of the week!
