Well everyone, Fall Turkey Bowling season has come to an end. Not before a few nail biters, some epic scores, and even a few "first time ever" strikes. Four teams competed for ultimate bragging rights. First on the lanes was Pins and Tonic looking to advance to he finals against 4of5. Both teams were in great spirits, drinking beers and giving high fives, while right next door Living on a Spare took on The Sea of Swirly Twirly Gumdrops.
In the first game, Pins and Tonic's own Chantel and Sarah came out of the gates like a bat out of hell. Carrying their team through ten frames, Chanty finished having rolled 183 while Sarah finished right behind rolling 181. And its good they did! 4of5 bowled strong all night as well. Not one person on the team bowled under 100.
Next door, Living on a Spare was rocking their own lanes. The Gumdrops, however were in the spirits to give Living on a Spare a run for their money. John led the Gumdrops with a respectable 128. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to surpass Living on a Spare who rolled a 593 on the night
The evening culminated with Pins and Tonic and Living on a Spare rolling for the title. Steve somehow found a bowling miracle not only bowling the first strike of his life, but following it up with two more. The magic wore off soon after when Justin and Living on a Spare slowly rolled away with the score. Congrats, Justin on a stunning 202. In the end, Living on a Spare finished 63 pins stronger than Pins and Tonic, but it wasn't enough to dampen anyone's spirits. Everyone, not only the teams in the finals had a great season. We made some friends, bowled some great scores, and went home looking forward to next season. Thanks to all the teams and well see you then!
Congratulations Justin for getting Player of the Week. Justin has the most nail biting form that I ever did see. As he make his approach, he slightly angles his body towards the gutter then throws with all is might. He has such an intense spin that it moves quickly from gutter to strike. Now only if you played for the M's....
