In the game of the day at Jaunita, Vernon Higginbtothem made a diving catch on a 2 point conversion to lead Primetime to a win over Any Given Sunday. It was a back and forth track meet the entire game as each team traded touchdowns. Primetime had the ball down 7, with 1:06 remaining and 2 timeouts. They drove down the field and scored to set up Higginbothems huge catch when electing to go for the win. Great Job Vernon!
In the game of the night and sure to be played on ESPN as instant classic, Giovanni Laccero led Primetime to a come from behind victory over Show Me Your TD's. With Show Me leading 25-18 Primetime scored with 40 seconds remaining to pull within one. They decided to go for the win with a 2 point attempt, which failed leaving them down 25-24. On the first play from scrimmage, the Show Me quarterback ran the length of the field for a touchdown, the one point attempt failed leaving them up by 7 with 32 seconds on the clock. Primetime got the ball back with 3 timeouts and was able to work the ball down the field for the touchdown that got them within one at 31-30. Again they decided to go for the 2 point conversion and the win. The Primetime QB rolled to his right and under duress was able to flip the ball to Laccero in the back of the end zone. Giovanni made a great catch among defenders and was able to get one foot down for the clinching 2 pointer with no time left on the clock.
