It was the last game of the night, and for many teams 9:30 on a Monday night can be pretty late. But the team Poop Sandwich still showed up eager and excited to play. Confusingly enough, though, their opponents didn't come at all. This didn't bring them down at all! They had an hour and a whole gym to themselves! It was good to see them having fun going back and forth on the court. Despite the other teams absence, they still had good hits and digs and even some fun jump serves. Instead of being disappointed they arrived and left with smiles on their faces and showed me what being a good sport is all about.
Communication and perseverance are qualities that make for good leadership and can galvanize a team to victory. Candice of Poop Sandwich is the player of the week who illustrated these important elements of leadership, who with clear communication and a resilient dedication to her teammates pushed forward to a successful win. Candice's overall enthusiasm on the court, mirrored with her impressive communicative and physical skills, is what makes her performance special. Congrats on being our player of the week, Candice!
