What a game the Farmers had on their hands tonight! They faced the red hot Red Hots!! The Red Hots came to play with a strong defense and a very accurate offense, but the farmers were out for victory. On the first drive the farmers threw a Int and now were on the defense. They scored point for point going through the first half and the farmers were feeling disadvantaged as they went into the half down a score. "No worries we are a second half team!" was the positive affirmation as they stepped onto the field for round two. They proved that quote to be true as they drove down field and scored! Then on the very next defensive play took back the ball with an INT!!! the points went back and forth and it was down to who can make the PAT's. The Red Hots scored and needed two to get 6pts up. They made an off balance throw and it was tipped into the hands of the offense.... the farmers were down 6. But that didnt stop them! Drove down and converted to go up by 2!! With time winding down the Red Hots were in scoring range and with a all out 4th down throw, Stefan, who tipped the potential INT instead of catching it, this time came down with the ball. A first down later and the Farmers were champs! Great Season Melon Farmers!!!
Starting the second half of the game, Ryan extended his team's lead with two consecutive picks sixes. Along with his explosive plays, he also had three knockdowns and four big yardage receptions. In other words Ryan was the legion of boom all wrapped up into one package with a side of Jimmy Graham for good measure. Congratulations on the win and way to play!
