From day one, the Indy team showed a strong team bond and great energy. Eschewing the "Indy" label, Split Happens hit the lanes rolling. Without question, this was a magical team that took its bowling seriously... but still brought the party.
Week after week, Split Happens could be heard several lanes away (and most nights, all the way up/downstairs). Cheers were infectious and celebrated their teammates AND their competitors. And we can't forget how they embraced theme nights - perhaps the most memorable was western night - those tiny hats!
The semi-finals rolled around last night and Split Happens was ready to win. Making short work of their first opponent, they confidently flipped lanes and took on Bowl Movements in the big dance. Could this ragtag match up beat the seasoned Bowl Movements? It was a close match and both teams bowled their hearts out. In the end, Split Happens, the little Indy team that could, did. Congrats on the win and we can't wait to see you in another league!
It was hambone time at the Garage this Monday! Trey bowled consecutive strikes in his last two frames, and extended it to a hambone with his extra rolls! For his clutch, late-game heroics, Trey is our player of the week. Congratulations!
This is just one humble league supervisor's opinion.... but the Monday night bowling leagues are the BEST leagues ever offered in all locations on this planet.. across all time.
Watching the action on and around lane 12 tonight just reaffirms this. Sporting not one, but TWO birthday hats (picture a stegosaurus), Jon bowled some of the best frames this season! After rolling his fifth consecutive strike, not only did his team erupt into cheers, but the teams around him did as well. When his streak ended, he took it in stride and kept the good times rollin'.
When he wasn't knockin' the pins down, Jon was celebrating his teammate's birthday and cheering on their good, the bad, and the ugly.
Everyone! Keep up the theme nights, great bowling, and great attitudes! You all make Monday nights the best ever!

Can't say how excited I was by Split Happen (formerly known as Indy B6)! Already rebranding their team, 100% attendance, AND awesome energy and cheering all game long! It's a 6-way match made in Indy heaven.
