Empire Spikes Back brought the enthusiasm and fun to their game Tuesday night, including bringing celebration capri suns and gummy fruit snacks. Just like mom used to bring! They never got discouraged, but just kept pushing for that next point, that ultimately gave them a 2-1 win! Their excitement was contagious and I hope they had fun celebrating with their capri suns and fruit roll ups. You guys deserve it!
Couldn't help but wander over to court 1 to investigate after observing some out of the ordinary volleyball. We had players make plays from the flat of their backs, others with hustle plays culminating in baseball slides, and lots of laughter. Newcomers to the league, Empire Spikes Back doesn't take volleyball too seriously and knows how to make every bit of Tuesday night at the gym count. Keep your ears perked for off-the-cuff one liners - this crew is full of them. Welcome to Underdog and thanks for bringing the energy and comedy!
