Behind a strong performance from Wanis Nadir, Who's Man Was That earned a decisive 36-20 victory over playoff cinderella story No Limit Soljahs. They look forward to defending their title next year, in hopes of a threepeat.
Capping a stellar undefeated season, Who's Man Was That? took home their second straight championship, behind a strong performance from Wanis Nadir. Playoff cinderella story No Limit Souljahs finally fell short 36-20. Who's Man Was That? is looking forward to a threepeat attept next season.
While it may not have been the best week Brian Carter ever played, there was one play in particular that was the biggest play of Who's Man Was That's season. With Brian's team leading 18-7 early in the second half, a fired up Welch squad was coming off a great defensive possession and driving for a score that would have put the momentum squarely in their favor. On second and goal Brian made a one handed interception while barely staying in bounds and good enough to take possession and steal the momentum. Who's Man Was That scored on the next play and never looked back on their way to their second straight Underdog Sports Leagues World Championship.
Once again Brian Carter showed why he is a standout player on one of the best teams and the defending Spring League Champions, "Who's Man Was That?". Brian was involved on three separate scoring plays and nearly a fourth that you had to see to believe. He always seemed to be in the right place at the right time including a tipped ball that hung up in the air above the endzone for what seemed like an eternity, and when the ball came down in ended up in Brian's hands. When asked about the play after the game Brian indicated that it was nothing that he had not done before and that there were performances he had made in the past that made his spectacular play on Sunday seem ordinary.
Matt Pangrazio had one of the better games of his distinguished Underdog Sports League career. He was involved on four different scoring plays in a 48-7 victory.
