It was an incredible day for the Hardcore division of the Men’s Monday night football league, as the first two games went into overtime and the third game came down to the last play of the game. The Barnyard Animals, winners of a 2 OT game in the semifinals, were simply too much for Let My People Block, who were playing their third game in a row.
The Barnyard Animals had won close games all year, their 5-1 record leading them to a #3 seed in a stacked division. It took 2 overtimes for them to overcome Jerry’s Kids, then they had to sit and watch as the other games played out. Led by a high-powered offense, the Animals were too much for their opponents, and came through with a few nice defensive plays toward the end of the game. When it was all said and done, all players shook hands on a very well played bracket of football.
While all eyes were on Atlanta for the National Championship Game, Jeremy and his Barnyard Animals decided there was a more important championship to be a part of, the Hardcore championship in the men's Monday night league. Jeremy had 2 of the most amazing catches you will ever see, one leading way to a TD, and also included some spectacular defense. Well done, champs!
Seahawks sign him up, this DB was a lockdown corner and excellent flag puller all night. He never let an oponnemt past and always kept the ball carrier in front of him, leading to some crucial stops and turnovers in a close victory.
