For the first time in recent memory, all four playoff teams were first time entrants, making for the tightest playoff race ever. In the first games, Team Sven edged out Nice Knockers, while Far From Sober eeked out a 10-pin win over Secret Double Probation. Team Sven seemed poised to bring home the trophy, but Far From Sober scored several individual season bests, led by Robert's 190, to score the upset.
