Hot Sets brought the heat last night and took 1st place after starting the tournament in the 3rd place seed. They won the first two games of the night over Liquid Courage securing them a spot in the Championship game that followed. They were "on" all night and played extremely well as a team. Barbara & Co. proved to be a big challenge, and when they took a 4-1 lead in the very first game, Hot Sets kept it calm and took the lead by the middle of the game, not letting B & Co. get ahead the rest of the time. While both teams played well Hot Sets calm and determined attitude helped them take the Win in just two games.
Will, from Barbara and Co., had a great night of digs and strong hitting and blocking at the net, but it wasn't enough against the skills from each player on Hot Sets. Each player brings a unique strength, but they all carry their weight whether in the front or back row. Marge had some stand-out digs and Dana's sets were right on giving all of the hitters the set up they needed to complete the play. Congrats to Hot Sets!
Trevor earns the top honors for the tournament this week. His strong serves and hitting helped lead his team to 4-0 for the most important night of the season. He was new to the team this Winter and proved to be a great addition to the team. His hard work and hustle on the court payed off every week. Great job Trevor!
Hot Sets were just that tonight! HOT! Michael Green takes home this weeks POTW after leading his team to a 3 win streak over the Indy team. His ace serving and hard work helped his team set up play after play to keep their opponents from scoring. Congrats Michael!
