Win by forfeit against Hidden Volley Ranch - Indy #2 | Win |
Both 99 Problems and Eat My Shorts were scheduled to have a semi-finals match, but 99 Problems got an automatic win by forfeit from their opponents. This scenario has gone many ways in the past. Teams would goof off for their hour off and not be prepared for the champs game, they play eachother in a twos game and tire themselves out more than a fours game or they get just enough rest and warm up to come out ready to kick butt to win it all.
Tonight, 99 Problems went with scenario number three and they did it with a bang. After winning their semi-finals match, Eat My Shorts, was pumped to take on 99 Problems, especially since they beat them earlier in the season. Game one unfortunately did not go so well for Eat My Shorts. 99 Problems got a quick lead with some awesome serves landing all over the court. It was a speedy match that left Eat My Shorts frustrated with themselves. Going into game two Eat My Shorts shook off the bad game and came out ready to fight. This was a much closer game that consisted of many great rallies and sand flying everywhere. The score was close the whole game, but soon enough 99 Problems got back to that serving line and aced themselves into a victory.
On a night filled with a lack of motivation due to rain, Stan pulled out some crafty moves to get the ball over the net. Be it the sneaky bump the served ball right back into the servers spot or a double axle, pirouette finished off with a slight finger poke of the ball, Stan made the plays happen and the got the points scored.
