This weeks player of the week goes to Bryan Hutton and the batting expedition he put on. Bryan accounted for a large portion of his teams runs by hitting, I mean launching the softball. Bryan had 3 dingers in the game, and possibly suffered from a side-ache from the amount of running that ensued on the bases. Great job Bryan!
The evening began with a trumpet solo and finished with a doubleheader sweep by the Confident 7's, led by Alyssa Gritton. Fresh out of the farm system, Alyssa went 7-8 and led her team on an offensive onslaught of 50 runs in two games. "I just wanted to go up there and have good at-bats" she said to Root Sports after the game. "I was seeing the ball real well out of the pitcher's hand and I was able to stay inside the ball and drive it. Most of all, I'm glad we got two wins against quality teams tonight."
