After many seasons of coming in second, Hit that Spot, was determined to take gold this time around. They had a very consistent team through the season which helped them stay strong and get in a groove. Tonight they came into the gym with the right attitude and tons of drive. In their semi-finals match they came out with a bang and won in two games. In the finals match they pair up against Find the Hole, who had a bit of a rocky season. Find the Hole started out scrambling for a 6th player to complete their team and after putting out a craigslist add they were whole again. In game one of the finals match, Hit that Spot showed up ready to play and seemed to surprise Find the Hole a bit. In game two, Find the Hole came out running and showed that they weren’t going down without a fight. Find the Hole jumped into the lead and looked like they were going to take it. Soon, however, Hit that Spot stuck to their team name and started finding every open hole they could and now get to call themselves the Champions.
I constantly heard players on Hit That Spot say Marcy's name in a congratulatory way. From some wicked serves, beautiful sets and nasty down balls, Marcy was all over the board with stats.
