In another close game of the night, The Volley Llamas took on Block You Like A Hurricane. The game went to 3 sets. In the first set, BYLAH got off to a slow start which helped The Volley Llamas win 21-13. In the second set BYLAH came back with a vengeance winning 21-17. In a close third set with each team going on serving runs, The Volley Llamas won 21-19. Great job to both teams! What a great season!
The Volley Llamas, long time Underdog-era, display an inspiring mix of friendship, communication, and fun. The 4 person team is tight knit and alway team. Braden Lenny is an anchor for the team. With killer serves (resulting in many aces) and passes he shows his commitment to performing for his team. He sat out for a little bit to watch over his friend’s baby and dog, proving his commitment to friendship as well . Thanks for being such a good friend and player!
Trevor gave it his all this week, winning the nickname “diver extraordinaire” by his team. As team captain, he lead his team to a 2-1 victory over Sandy Nets this week and supported his team through every up and down. What makes Trevor such a valuable played on his team isn’t just his leadership style, but his true embodiment of leading by example. Trevor continuously sacrificed his body for the ball and showed his team the kind of commitment he has as a friend and a volleyball player. Way to go Trevor!
