Breaking in a new bat, Mr. Johnathan certainly wants to keep things looking new and fresh. After a beautiful hit into left-center, he didn't want to toss his bat or get it too dirty so he decided to carry it all the way to 2nd base for his double. Although this is strongly discouraged to carry a bat around the bases, all worked out just fine without a play at 2nd base on his double. He made the appropriate adjustment the next at bat and lightly placed it down on the ground on his way to first base.
