I Can't Believe It' Not Gutter pulled a page from the Golden Knights and had the audacity to win the championship during their first year in the league! A season where they just seemed to be plagued by the one lane have tech issues, seemingly each week... these bowlers kept to the 3 fundamentals: pick up ball, walk the lane, throw ball. Resilience - the hallmark of champions.
The semi-finals were a nail biter! A single pin determined who would be advancing to the finals. Just two lanes over, Hyatt Regency secured their spot in the finals. The finals went down just as expected - two teams bowling their hearts out. The moment made for sports reels came in the final frame - I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter's captain, Chris, BOWLED A 10TH FRAME TURKEY!! The lanes erupted in cheers and it became even more clear who would walk away with the title.
Congrats on the 'ship and we will see you next season!
Bowling is a bit unpredictable- you never know what lane you're going to get and how it's going to function that night... but what we do get to control when the lane throws you lemons instead of pin drops- is how we roll with it. Shout out to Chris from I Can't Believe It's Not Gutter for being excellent with communication, understanding, and problem solving (in addition to leadership and stellar bowling skills). We love having you as an Underdog as a captain and player!
