Fueled by some amazing Purple Gatorade, Rob Trickett was pumped up, and able to soar over the nets at Alki and stop any any all balls in his path. His kills were fearsome, and his blocks were impenetrable. But on top of that, it was his spirit that lifted his teammates on Monday night. Congratulations to Rob, and the Monkey Lovers!
Pass-setting is really difficult, especially doing it consistently. It's especially important on the beach to guarantee a clean set. Kristen has definitely mastered this skill! Even after j-stroking it off the net Kristen was able to give a perfect, clean set to her hitters. Your timing on the beach is totally different from playing indoors and Kristen realizes this because she always makes sure she gives her hitters enough time to approach so they can smash the ball!! With Kristen's great sets, Monkey Lovers were able to pull away with the win!
