Salsa Verde Takes The Title

Wednesday night's championship match up was one for the ages, as the #1 and #2 seeds faced off with everything on the line. Wallingford Electric and Salsa Verde finished the season with identical 5-1-1 records, playing to a 21-21 tie in the their lone meeting during week one of the regular season.

Wallingford jumped out to an early 7 run lead, but Salsa Verde was able to chip away until they took a 3 run lead in the 4th. Thanks to some strong defense they held that lead, as they entered the top of the 7th still up 1 run. Salsa's offense then exploded for 7 runs, as they took control of their championship dreams. A shut out bottom of the 7th was all they needed to hoist the trophy as CHAMPS.
