There was a lot of chatter going on about what team would take the Midcore championship. With some teams from Portland coming into the mix the rivalry was bigger than the Sounder and Timbers. Tensions were tight as playoffs started and it would all come down to who played the best Kickball, not where you were from.

The two teams were matched up early on in the first game of the day. Neither team could get an edge though as they tied 3-3 in a tough fought battle.

Ruining Sundays would go on to tear through BarRoom Heroes and Team Fiesta on the way to picking up the #1 seed in the Buckaroo division. They would face defending champions the Violent Chubbies in the first round and just barely squeezed by in a back and forth game.

Happy Birthday!!! also went on a tear after their first game. Team Fiesta and Slappin' the Bases couldn't quite muster up the run necessary off of a stifling Birthday defense. While neither team lost in the first round, Happy Birthday ended up with the 2 seed after tiebreakers. In the semi-finals, Birthday went up against their rivals BAD Company. After getting behind early 1-0, Birthday would pick up a couple of runs in the 3rd to pick up a lead they wouldn't relinquish.


The final game came down to Happy Birthday vs. Ruining Sunday where defense was the name of the game. The game picked up where they left off earlier with only 3 runs scored throughout the entire game! Ruining Sunday was able to edge out Happy Birthday in over time to take the title of Midcore Champions! Both teams fought hard and played the best kickball they had in them! Congrats to Ruining Sunday!
