The Bears made a very strong playoff run that ultimately led to the championship. They entered the playoffs as the number 4 seed and really brought the bats in every game they played. The offense fired on all cylinders and the defense really stepped up as the team limited the errors and mental mistakes and this led them to 1st place and some t-shirts!
The championship game was exciting as the game was close all the way down to the wire and ended on a diving catch by the Bears 3rd baseman to preserve the 2 run lead and win the title. Awesome season, Bears!
In a very tight championship game Alex brought his "A" game as he went 4-5 at the plate with 3RBI's. Although the play of the game was in the bottom of the 7th inning with the Bears leading by 3 with 1 out Alex made a full out diving catch at 3rd base and got up in time to make the throw to first base to double up the runner and end the game. Great job Alex and congratulations on the championship!
