It was all strategy on both sides of the court at the start of the match tonight. Rough Sets and Damaged Goods were each mapping out the best line up to allow for maximum pointage. Once game one kicked off it was filled with attacks, kills, digs and assists. As usual Morgan from Rough Sets was on fire with nearly every attack ending in a kill on the other side of the court. Damaged Goods was doing a great job of getting behind a number of balls sent to their side of the court, but unfortunately couldn’t get to them all. Game two was much more a game of unforced errors for both sides of the court. Stats wise the kills were close to double digits, but so were the unforced errors. Rough Sets stuck together and powered through any rough patch that headed their way and that is why they are the champions.
Morgan is such a solid player all over the court. In the back row he constantly knows where the ball is going and gets there with plenty of time. In the front row he is like a sniper, finding every open hole on the court and nailing it. On top of all his skills he never sees' to stop encouraging his teammates with a smile on his face.
John took a page out of Marshawn Lynch's book last night as he smashed his way to victory at the net and on the back line. His jump serve was a thing of beauty, bring all kinds of points to the team. In the front row his hops had him jumping as high as his 6 foot something teammate and smashing the ball on to the other side of the court. Make it rain candy man!
