...that there's a new champ in the Shamrock Soccer? The Rockets had it going on Saturday, and they showed why they were the 1 seed in the playoffs. They used sharp passing and play making to score their 5 goals, and an active defense to limit a determined GDI team to 2 scores. Asked to explain their season, they replied, "All this science we don't understand
It's just our jobs five days a week"
The Rockets won their title with only 5 players on the field, and any one of them could have grabbed the coveted championship POTW. However, Bo had what might be the coolest Shamrock goal to date... About a third of the field out on the right side, his angle was cut off squarely by a the GDI defender several yards in front of him. No matter - Bo ripped a Beckham-eque shot that started out right and then bent left around the mark and eventually found the back of the net. Not much more to say...
The Rockets have been on top of the league all season, but when they showed up with only 5 players it looked like their run at a championship might be in trouble. Collin made sure the opposite was true, however - as the Rockets posted a big win over Bush's Magic Jesus Ninjas. Collin, who stakes a claim to POTW most leagues games, was his usual self, dribbling through the defense at will, distributing the ball to teammates and scoring multiple times.
