Erick Franklin led the way for the Bucs in a rather easy playoff run which featured blowout wins in all three games. This recent surge came somewhat as a surprise as the Bucs were seeded fifth going into the playoffs. However they were peaking at the right time, making spectacular plays on both sides of the ball.
There was little doubt as to who Player of the Week was going to be this week. Erick Franklin has been some of the best football of his career in the past few weeks and it showed on Sunday. In two games, Erick threw 12 touchdowns. Let me put that down again: 12 touchdowns. Nice job Erick.
With his relentless pass pressure on defense and two touchdown catches on offense, Charles Smith was able to garner Player of the Week honors. Charles was reluctant after the game, thanking his teammates. "Without them, none of this would be possible", Smith said.
