By now this league is well aware that Violent Chubbies are a seriously good kickball team, but really what makes them so good? Afterall, they won their first game 13-3 and their second game 13-2! After watching both games of their double-header the answer is that they are simply solid at every position. Nowhere on the field is that truer than at catcher, where Rebecca puts on a catcher's clinic at every opportunity. When the opposition lays down a well placed bunt, rather than picking the ball up and attempting to beat the runner to 1st, Rebecca shows off some fancy footwork and kicks the ball perfectly to 1st base.....time and time again! Runners that are used to beating out the throw on a beautiful bunt are out by several steps and look around like "how did that just happen?". Rebecca even tagged a few players out on her kicks to 1st. On throws to the plate she has sure hands and an unflinching ownership of home plate. Congrats to Violent Chubbies on both of their victories and to Rebecca for being a rockstar catcher and our Player of the Week!!!
