Laura Bulkley Gets First Hit Ever

This week's player of the game goes to Laura Bulkley. She got her first hit ever and drove in a run. She hasn't had a hit all season long but she never gave up, she kept swinging away and she finally hit pay dirt. Her hit came at a time in the game early when the energy was starting to pick up and actually motivated the rest of the team to go on a rampage scoring 26 runs over a 3 inning stretch. Great hit Laura!

Andy Bethel Leads The Way

Batting 4 for 4 with 3 home runs and playing lights out at short stop Andy took The Ice Cold Pitchers on his shoulders and willed them to victory. Base hit after base hit and amazing defensive play after another proved that Andy is definitely a baller and other USL teams need to take notice when they face the Ice Cold Pitchers. You will have to go through Andy if you want to take down the Ice Cold Pitchers. Great game Andy.

Gabby Getty's Walk Off Single Seals The Deal

In what had to be the USL softball game of the month, the Flyswatters squared off against Ice Cold Pitchers in an epic battle. This game had to go to 8 innings to settle the score. It was that kind of game. Ice Cold Pitchers struck early ripping off 3 early runs and not scoring again until the fourth inning. Fly Swatters managed to rip off 8 runs in the third and kept that lead until the 7th inning when it was a tie ball game. In the bottom of the 8th with 2 outs, 2 on and the game tied, Gabby Getty steps into the box. On the first pitch she delivers a shot to right center field scoring the go ahead run and the party was on. Both teams played great and the hustle was non-stop. It all came down to Ice Cold Pitchers putting themselves in a position to win, Great win!!
