It was a day for the underdogs on Sunday as lower seeds sparked more than their share of upsets. It was a day where we saw the ninth seed make it to the semi-finals and the seventh seed win the championship. The Bitchin Camaros eliminated the upstart Flaming House a.k.a. Crab People, in the semi-final round. The Crab People came all the way from the ninth seed and seemed like the cinderella story of the day, but they were outed by the true Cinderella, the Bitchin Camaros. BC then pulled out an incredible victory in the championship round, outlasting Pirate Booty by the score of 14-13. It doesnt get much closer than that for Pirate Booty, but they have come together over the course of the season and the Statdog expects big things from them in the future.
In the first leg of the Bitchin Camaros triple crown on Sunday, Mike Berman came up big when they needed him most. His game saving hit was the difference between three victories (and a championship) and a first round exit. Congrats to Mike and the rest of the Bitchin Camaros.
