After a grueling weekend of grinding her snowboard on the PNW slopes, Shannon Murello-Plyler dragged herself off to kickball.
On her first kick, you could see the pain in her eyes, as she limped to a force out on a kick that would have put her on base any other day... Smiles abound, she returned to the dugout.
Later..
Another nail-biter play to first, this time, she's a little more limber, and the ball bounces just behind her and sneaks away from the first baseman...most in her condition would be happy with their achievement on first. But seeing her 'Kick This!' teammates plight with a late 1-run lead, the Underdog in her kicked in, and she bolted for 2nd and packed the pressure on.
She pulled down some keys catches to thwart her opponents, 'Kickin' It'...
In the end the opposition made a bottom of the 7th rally to win, but Shannon was clearly our Player of the Week!
