After knocking off the number 2 seeded and always strong No Pants Party, Kates Pub was determined to take home the league championship and no one would stand in their way. After dominating No Pants Party for 7 innings the table was set and next up was another really tough opponent Buckley's In Belltown. Scoring in every inning during the game Kate's determination, intensity and motivation the entire night could not be matched by any of the two teams they dispatched on the way to taking the title. This was a total team effort and one for the USL archives. Great game Kate's.
In a wild, crazy and action field game Kate's Pub out lasted My Salsa thanks to a bottom of the 8th laser shot to right field by Cody Nelson to score the game winning run. These teams battled all game long with Kate's Pub trailing most of the game until the 7th inning was a pivotal inning for Kate's Pub. They reeled off 6 runs to pull even after being down by 4 runs going into the inning. Then it happened. With the game tied, 2 outs and 2 on Cody steps into the box. On the first pitch he sees he sends a bullet to right field to score the game winning run. Great game Cody.
