For one half of football we had quite a shootout. Matt Kim and Brandon Horn were exchanging touchdown passes left and right. However as the game went on, the Lime Time defense stiffened and a champion emerged. Congradulations to Lime Time on their glorious victory.
In a high scoring affair, Christa Yorke got her share of touchdowns by scoring twice. However, the key play by Christa was her game changing interception which sparked a run of three consecutive touchdowns for Lime Time which helped them pull away and take the title.
In her final USL football game, Brit Suttell saved one of her best games for last. Brit led Lime Time to a narrow 35-32 victory with her relentless pressure on the quarterback, including three sacks and also two key touchdown receptions on offense. Congrats Brit, we will all miss you, and good luck in Philadelphia.
Doing her best tri-athlete impersonation, Joey Scott played three consecutive games on Thursday, helping out Indy #1 and going on to earn player of the game honors in the first game of her teams doubleheader. In that doubleheader, Joey led the way in a 47-19 win, followed by an 87-12 win.
Lime Time opened their season in grand fashion with a 44-20 victory. Leading the way was Brandon Horn, who threw four touchdown passes and also had two interceptions.
