The Big Bad Buckers showed the entire Thursday night crowd and other players what they were made of. In their first game of the night, they came back from a 3 run deficit in the bottom of the 3rd inning to tie the game. They then struck for six more in the bottom of the 4th and never looked back. In the next round they faced Too Dam Lazy. Too Dam Lazy Jumped to a 11-5 lead in the bottom of the 2nd inning. Big Bad Buckers came roaring back in the top of the fourth to take a 12-11 lead. Too Dam Lazy would not score again that game. Big Bad Buckers then went off to the championship game to face Matty's Maraders. This game was close to the end. Both teams kept battling for the lead. At the end of each inning a different team had lead a lead until the end of the fifth, when Big Bad Buckers tied it all up. In the top of the sixth, the final inning, BBB scored 5 runs to take the lead for good and took home the championship. Matty's Maraders came close in the bottom of the inning by scoring 4 runs, but they fell short by one run in a very close game.
In our 3rd place game of the evening, we had Hits Happen vs. Too Dam Lazy. In this game both team agreed to throw out the homerun rule and have a slug fest. Both teams hit mutable homeruns and had a good time. Too Dam Lazy just did win by one run to take home the third place title.
Ryan helped his team by providing great defense and offense to help his team to the and win championship gmae.
Without a doubt, the Underdog Sports Leagues Player of the Week had to be Mark Schutte. Mark's contibution to the Big Bad Buckers throughout the season has been well documented. This week, Mark, by merely showing up, was a huge factor in a 20-5 victory.
Without a doubt, Rod "Motor Boat" Schutte had to be the Player of the Week for this week. Rod helped power the Big Bad Buckers to a strong 21-6 victory with a Grand Slam that almost made the Statdog break out the tapemeasure.
