The weather was great for soccer - overcast, but not too cold or wet. Two long running teams in search of their first league title played an exciting match that left both sides in good spirits. Look at My Shorts scored the winning goal in the overtime period on a quick break and sharp passes in the offensive half. Crush couldn't quite get an equalizer as time expired.
Choosing a POTW for this match is tough - so many players on both sides had strong days. Marcus was the defensive anchor for Look at My Shorts, and brought the energy and consistency that allowed them to build the attacks that resulted in 3 goals and the victory.
Julia had a great game in an epic 1-0 win for Look at My Shorts. Chupacabra played their best soccer of the season, but it wasn't quite enough. Both teams tried to build attacks through passing and timely cuts - but the defense was what really stood out in this match.
Look at My Shorts played well once again, and Kirsten seemed to be everywhere on the field in helping her team to 7 goals. LaMS was extremely patient in building attacks, and often found the net after 3 or more passes.
Look at My Shorts had another strong outing, with Rob all over the field in both offensive and defensive roles. The team passing game, and control of the middle of the field allowed LaMS to post an impressive victory over a good Crush squad that also played well.
