In the tightest game of the day it was Usual Suspect's defense that won the game. After a ore-game moment of silence for the player Evan who moved to New York, the Usual Suspects hit the field with focus. Both teams played great, and it was the ladies on both squads that played above the curve. In the last few seconds Usual Suspects had to play solid defense in the red-zone to keep Crosswired out and secure their 1 point lead in the 21 to 20 final. As the last pass went into the air the chaos and confusion of the defense made any catch tough in the end zone, and Usual Suspects successfully halted a winning drive and win the Chipper! Great seasons to both these veteran teams, and congratulations to the Usual Suspects for being league Champs!
This weeks player of the week is a standout player for Usual Suspects, and for years has been a go to target for the QB. Evan V. Has been a familiar face in Underdog Leagues for years, and helped his team to 2 victories on Saturday! Evan reeled in TD receptions, as well as caused havoc for his opponents on defense. Evan is a key fixture on his squad, and will be missed due to other successes off the field leaving his squad with very large shoes to fill in his absence. Evan earns this weeks player of the week with excellent play on the field every week! Great playing all these seasons Evan, your presence will be missed!
