In the bottom of the seventh inning Emily G stepped up to bat trying to get her team back in the game. On the first pitch she saw, Emily blasted a shot over the head of the right fielder, and as Emily turned past first base she realized she had a chance to stretch the long hit into a home run. By the time the other team caught up with the ball Emily was already rounding third and headed home. She could have easily walked home, but instead Emily sprinted home to celebrate the momentous two run blast with her teammates. Great hit Emily!
In what turned out to be an 8 inning nail biter Keith Johnson was the hero of the night. After both teams battled to a stalemate and the game tied in the bottom of the 8th inning, Keith leads off and calmly steps to the plate. Not a bead of sweat on his forehead and on the very first pitch he sees he rips a laser shot right up the middle and no one could run it down. Game over, good night, drive safe and see you next week!!
