Spring Softcore Kickball in Everett Tuesdays

Even though they finished the regular season a dominating 6-0 (and being held to less than 10 runs only twice), Field My Balls knew that playoffs were a different story, so they came out very motivated. After going against the grain and selecting to be Away, they put a 7 spot in the top of the first inning of their first game to leave Scut Farkus in the dust. They kept the pedal to the metal throughout the game, , topping with a base-clearing double in the 5th inning that resulted in a close play at the plate, but a beautiful slide by Gabby B avoided the poison ball (and scraped up her knee pretty good!).
They played a familiar foe in the championship game, having beaten Sparka Boll 7-4 the previous week. They again chose Away, but fell behind 3-1 after the first inning. It was a neck and neck game until they broke open the game in the 4th, scoring 5 runs all with two out. They continued to pile it on after, including a booming 3-run double in the 5th to put it at 9-3. They finished off the game 16-5 to complete the perfect season! Congrats Field my Balls!
