In the most thrilling game of the night, Jayce Gutzler made all the big plays his team needed to survive the opening round of the playoffs and advance to the final week. In a 32-28 win, Jayce had two touchdowns along with the game winning interception with less than a minute to go.
In one of the more hotly contested games of the year, the Hool Hounds were able to pull away late from the 96ers 40-19. The game featured a few early lead changes, and some particularly clutch plays by one Derick Christensen. Derick had three interceptions on defense, which helped put the ball in the offenses hands. When on offense, every time the Hool Hounds needed a clutch play the ball went to number 23. Derick caught an astounding six touchdown passes, which was every touchdown the team had, including two on fourth down and long. The term "Do-It-All-Player" gets thrown around a lot but in this case The Statdog feels it is more than befitting of Derick's performance on Tuesday.
