After a rough first two innings, pitcher Sammi Santini put up a masterful performance leading her team to a comeback victory. Liquor Balls trailed 6-0 after 2 innings, but thanks in part to to strong defense, Santini did not give up a run over the final 5 frames. Liquor Balls picked it up at the plate over the 2nd half of the game, finally taking the lead in the 6th and never looking back.
In a game where defense was king, Jeff led the charge for Liquor balls. Since his team was short handed, Jeff had to cover virtually all of outfield. Not an easy task, but one Jeff did with ease. He was getting great jumps on fly balls and caught nearly all the plays put into play. What an impressive debut for this kickball rookie. Great job Jeff!!
