Entering the playoffs as the number one seed, the Seattle Shaggy Muskrats had high hopes of winning a championship and they did not disappoint. It would not be easy though.
In the semi-final versus Silly Hatz, the Muskrats bats couldn't get going early. But with great defense by Paula Lavalle and the rest of her teammates , they held the Silly Hatz close until they finally broke through late for the 7-4 victory.
The championship game would not be easy either. The hour and a half layoff seemed to have made their gloves go cold. The Muskrats fell behind early by 5 runs. But again their bats would warm up with with a big inning to take the lead. Over the final 4 innings the defense tightened up and the pitching of Kevin Rubenstein shut down the Arbornauts. In a tense final inning, the Muskrats held on for the one run victory and take home the championship. Great playoff run to all of the Shaggy Muskrats.
