The Tea Baggers ruined the run of the Kickmees with a solid all-around team performance. Ms. Gibson a few snazzy defensive plays, but she was an offensive juggernaut. The game stayed close until near the end, when the Baggers pulled away.
Kickmees seemed to have lost their magic from the semifinal game in which they handily took down the # 1 seeded Muffin Clan. The Baggers advanced on a no-show Hot Dog team that puzzled everyone.
Aaron supplied his team with instant offense, getting some key kicks in to kill the goose egg in their lopsided loss.
On defense he demonstrated team play snagging a ball that slipped through his teammates outstretched hands.
Mr. Watson was a bright light in an otherwise dark game for the Teabaggers.
Some of you may know Dwight as a supervisor for Drinks On The Links. But before you accuse of us of being being homers, just know that Dwight's been playing in Underdog leagues for a long time, and on Sunday his actions spoke for themselves. Dwight had some decent plays on defense, sure, but he really came through when the game was on the line. After taking a 8-8 tie into the 7th inning, the Seagulls rallied for a big top half to go ahead 12-8. But the Teabaggers were never out of it. In the bottom half, down 12-10 with two on and one out, Dwight stepped up to the plate and boomed one right into the gap, touching 'em all
and winning it in high style, a three run blast to make the final score 13-12. Nuff said.
Wow, Jane played her a*s off! With an almost full Tea Bagger team in attendance to watch in awe and cheer for their beloved Ms. Luterek. She earned a long term contract with a couple of good kicks to get on base, but the defense...oh the defense.
Jane took seven hard kicks out of the air to record key outs, including the game saving laser beam that she snared with a knee sliding catch.
