The Fightin' Nambas were the cream of this year's crop at Late Fall Imperial Wednesdays. Leveraging a high playoff seed into a chance at the championship, Nambas didn't disappoint, bowling well enough to earn them the title of Champion for the second year in a row!
Even off the lanes, the Nambas were regarded as a pleasure to bowl with, always cheering on each other as well as their fellow bowlers. Congratulations, Fightin' Nambas, on your back-to-back Underdog Big Turkey Bowling Championships!
Fightin' Nambas not only shut down the competition, but Liz Forbes came in and shut everyone down! She beat out every other female at the lanes and was only 7 pins shy of having the highest bowling score of the whole night! With nearly 4 strikes to close out her final match, she really shown with a 190, 87 more pins than her first game. Way to be a boss Liz!! Congrats on being player of the week!
Pete had a truly fantastic night bowling at Imperial Lanes. After starting off with a spare on his first frame, Pete proceeded to rattle off a whopping SIX strikes in a row! Pete finished his game with a score of 220, spearheading an impressive 887 point effort by his six-person squad. Congrats Pete on an impressive night and for being named an Underdog Player of the Week!
