Bump, Set, Collide had a busy Tuesday night ahead of them. They started their night off at Seattle Central for an opening game of a new season. They then had to kill an hour of time and used some beers to reboot their energy levels for the evening. Once the semi-finals started you could see that the energy they consumed in the form of beers was working. Ryan and his team were stronger than ever, and took a quick and hefty lead! With this momentum they were able to not out their first opponents in 2 games! Next up was a rematch against Morning Missiles and what would be their 3rd match of the night! Their opponent had a hour break to recharge but that was no challenge for Bump, Set, Collide who caught Morning Missiles off guard and once again gained a large lead! The teams hitting and blocking were phenomenal last night but what won them the championship was their serves. Going into the second game of the championship Ryan H. sealed the deal by serving 13 in a row to start the game!! This knocked Morning Missiles off their game and the rest is history! Congrats Bump, Set, Collide on your championship! See you next season to defend your title!
This week Ryan played 3 matches with his Seattle Central league overlapping with this leagues final night. Despite being tired and 3 games in, Ryan came to play! He was a serving master serving 13 in a row! Along with his masterful serving skills Ryan was a beast at the net with blocks and kills galore! Great work this week Ryan and congrats on your championship!
Sometimes it's all about being in the right place at the right time, and tonight wherever Ryan stood on the court was both the right place and the right time. Ryan was all over the place assisting his team, Bump, Set, Collide, to a 3-0 sweep. Some people can pass the ball and some can smash the ball, Ryan can do both. Good job and keep it up Ryan.
Congratulations to Candice Barrow for being the player of the week. Candice was an all around star this week. She had strong serves, perfect passes, and sweet sets! She played really well and was encouraging throughout the match win or lose. With high spirits during the match she really resembled what it means to be an Underdog athlete! It was really fun being able to watch her play. It was a really close game and the competitiveness in her eyes made it a superb game to experience. Great job tonight and keep up the great work!
