Orange is the New Black was one of the Indy teams that have never played together before in the Underdog Sports League. For some, this was their first time playing volleyball while others have had many years of experience. This team struggled through the regular season by not having a full team to play with because of injuries or schedule conflicts, but the players who showed up week after week played really hard and they definitely deserved this win!
Congratulations to Orange is the New Black for playing through some tough games, winning several matches, playing exceptionally well together, and winning the title of Underdog Champs! You all are true Underdogs by maintaining a positive outlook through the season and making wins when it mattered most! Nice work!
There's a new Indy team in town that call themselves, Orange is the New Black, and Tom Hilliard put on a show in Week 1. In the second match, Tom came down with an emphatic one-handed block that scored a point for his team and he was putting up a defensive wall more than once in this game! For a team that hasn't played together before, they did a nice job at creating some strong plays on offense and defense. I look forward to seeing this team grow and build chemistry, but for now - I warn the others to look out for Tom! Great job this week, Underdogs!
