The championship game started intense as emotions were flying high even after the first pitch! Both teams played great, but "Pelotas" was able to capitalize on a few errors by the "short bus" D early in the game! "Pelotas" set themselves up for some runs and in one big kick from Chris Geiger, they cleared the bases and never looked back. "Short bus" stayed closed but couldn't get the job done tonight!! Great job both teams!
This weeks player of the week goes to Chris Geiger of "Pelota Azul". He played a very solid right-center, catching everything in his area. It was his kicking at the plate that earned his team a championship, and himself POTW! In a final score of 6 to 4 over "Short Bus", his base clearing kick deep to right bringing in 3 runs, and putting him on third ready to come home! It was that play that put his team ahead, and chalked up the W! Great job Chris!!
This weeks player of the week goes to CJ Overton of "Pelotas Azul". Her play at first was all star action, fielding tough catches, and making big plays. It was her performance from the plate that really earned her the honor. She kicked bombs in the field and racked up 7 RBI's. She played awesome, and is a very good sportsman as well. Great job CJ!!
This weeks Player of the Week is awarded to CJ Overton. In a game much closer and competative than the score indicated, CJ was a perfect 4 for 4 at the plate, pacing the Pelotas Azul to a 12-0 win! Good job Pelotas! and congrats to CJ Overton!!!
